Introduction
This is the website of a group that has been studying the teaching brought by Georges Ivanovich Gurdjieff for 16 years. In these years we have gathered enough know-how and substantial information to come out into the open, so that more people can experience what the Fourth Way calls working on oneself. Throughout the ages, the Fourth Way has been a path that hasn't surfaced very much. We owe it chiefly to the efforts of G.I. Gurdjieff that this is happening now.
Who was Gurdjieff?
The internet provides a lot of information about Gurdjieff. This website offers some useful links. What we want to say about him is that a person like Gurdjieff is born only once in a couple of hundred years. He has left us many things, among which are the movements, music and a range of useful and practical philosophical ideas.

One of the ideas we want to expound is that Gurdjieff taught that a man is composed of three persons, i.e. he is divided in three centers. There is an intellectual center, an emotional center and an instinctive/moving center. These centers of man are not working at their full capacity. Because of this man is not properly evolved and he finds himself in the situation he is in on this Earth. To stimulate man's personal evolution, Gurdjieff established his famous 'institute for the harmonious development of man' in France in the last century.
